Well, only three more to go and of course they are going to drive me looney! Sycha is 16 days overdue. I have been concerned with her as she seems like she is uncomfortable and she really has a very small udder. Her milk calcium levels and ph have been exactly the same for 5 weeks now, no progression. She has a vet appointment this morning just so I can make sure we are moving along okay and all is well with that foal inside.

Rosita is a week overdue, but I am not too concerned with her being an older mare. She seems to be progressing fine - the foal has dropped in the last 24 hours, so I would guess within the next week.

Picasa may also go over as her milk is not progressing much at all. She is big and round and I am anxious to see how her Desi foal compares to the others so far...

What happended to Rosita? I dont see her on the foaling watch page any more, did I miss something?

Rosita turned up not pregnant. We did not finish breeding her last year and did not belive she was pregnant until this winter when she started to look very round. She did the same thing as Sycha - thick milk, small udder and not bred! We have not decided if we will breed her this year...she has been in hot heat for a full 8 days now and I am just concerned about her hormones being unbalanced. Thanks for asking!
