I just realized looking over your Foal Watch once again, that the majority of your foals will come in May. It will most certainly be a May Madness ;D Foal Watch for you. Yet very exciting for all...foals are soon to be popping out everywhere. So after my foal is born I will still have lots ot look forward to with all the foals yet to be born on the Bayo' ;D

Ah, yes...May will be crazy for sure!! We have nothing planned for the whole month besides foaling and rebreeding. I have 13 mares I can possibly breed for next year, but want to stay around 7 or so. Hard decisions. Most I don't even know who they will be rebred to until I see what hits the ground this year. I am still breeding for my herd, so usually half each year I wind up keeping to see if they are breeding quality or not.
If Leza or Sage have a colt from Hipo this year, he will be held back, and if one has a filly, she will be held back. Two colts, then one will be for sale; two fillies.....hmmm, don't know yet! If the Paso mare has a filly I will most likely keep it, but not a colt. The QH x's will be for sale; if Hija has an exceptional filly, I may keep it as I sold her already; and if dear Sycha gives me an exceptional filly by Desi I MAY keep it......and she looks like she will have a filly because she is carrying very high and she is not very big this year at all.

What?! 13?! I can only think of eight, and those were even questionable... who else do you have stashed away? ;D
Hmm lets see.. Sycha Sage- I thought she was for sale? Leza Nesa Casa Momma Rosita- wasn't sure if youd breed her again? Reina- waiting another year?
By the way, I have been trying to get a hold of you! I don't know if your phone is still not working or what. But try to give me a call back sometime because I need to tell dad when we should leave and what all is going on.

Sycha - Yes Sage- I thought she was for sale? Yes, for sale, but will sell her bred and if she does not sell, oh well...! Leza - Yes Nesa - not this year Casa - Yes Momma - Yes Rosita- wasn't sure if youd breed her again? Don't want too, but she is so excited about Morgans' foal that I think she is just going to adore having a foal, so we will see. I will do a gut conditioning on her and maybe that will help her weight issues. Reina- waiting another year? Yes, waiting.
I am buying Diva back (well, trading really....way to much horse for the situation!). Could breed her but would rather show her and sell her to the right home.
Contora - the other Paso mare - will breed her to Charro this year Morgan - breeding to Charro this year Chilli - Mary Lynn does not want to bred anymore, so I am buying Chilli back. She will not be bred back to Charro, I will bred her back to Lusitano and put her up for sale as long as the right home comes along.
I may have been thinking of Hija, but she is sold.
Hey, will call you this weekend. Crazy here getting ready for apprentice week and open house. Today we stripped cedar posts for a riding arena...

oh good Chilli' is coming back I liked that mare ;D and her babies. Has Morgan had a Charro' foal before? can't remember.
I tell ya' things change every so often here as well. Who is for sale, who might stay, will we breed, not breed and I am on a whole lot smaller scale then you are. So I can only imagine the caos every Spring.
